James is a certified grants management specialist (CGMS) and has overseen dozens of grant management system implementations. As President & CEO of eCivis, James oversees the company's strategic direction as well as collaborates with top grant professionals in state and local government to help revolutionize grant management in the United States. James holds a bachelor of science in business administration, with an emphasis on accounting, and a second bachelor's degree in information technology from the University of Massachusetts. James has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University's Johnson School of Management, participated in the Leadership in Operations Program at Michigan State University’s Eli Broad School of Business, and is Six Sigma Certified.
VP of Product & Technology
Sami brings 20+ years of technology savvy to the public and private sector. He oversees and manages eCivis’ Product Management, Software Engineering, Research, and Information Technology departments and is the chief architect of eCivis’ grants management software. Outside eCivis, he is an author, blogger, open-source contributor, and a member of the International Association of Software Architects. Sami holds two bachelor of science degrees in business administration–the first with an emphasis on computer information systems and the second with an emphasis on management and human resources, concentrating on organizational behavior.
Senior Director, Client Solutions
As the Sr. Director of Client Solutions, Ryan brings years of customer service and support expertise to eCivis clients. Ryan has worked to implement grant management solutions for some of the largest organizations in the United States, including the City of Los Angeles, City of Detroit, Harris County, State of Arizona, San Diego County, Port of Long Beach and many others. Ryan strategically leads the client solutions team to provide not only customer care and support but to assist each client in improving their grants processes to increase long term success. Ryan attended California State University of Northridge where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business with an emphasis on copyright law and licensing.
