Omie Ismail

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Omie Ismail leads eCivis in its mission to help local governments improve their grants performance, and he is dedicated to attracting the best and brightest employees to help fulfill that mission. As a founder, Omie crafted the initial strategy of Grants Locator and managed the product rollout. Throughout his four years at the head of eCivis, he has helped build its internal structure to make the company more responsive to local government needs.

Omie continues to spearhead new development of eCivis' next generation products and services: Grants Network, GPI, Performance Evaluation, eCivis Learning, and Organizational Assessments. "Grants Locator was just the beginning. Our clients have additional needs that they want a trusted partner to address. These products and services respond to an increasing range of needs for our valued clients. Our goal is to be the premier grant performance solutions provider for cities and counties nationwide."

Since founding eCivis in 2000, Omie's responsibility has continually increased -- starting as Director of Operations and moving into the Chief Operating Officer role before becoming CEO. Throughout his progression at eCivis, he has always brought an entrepreneurial "can do" attitude to the company. "My attitude has always been, if you work hard and are focused, anything is possible. That's why eCivis is here today."

Prior to eCivis, Omie received his MBA from UCLA and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Chicago. He was previously a senior consultant and project manager at Lexecon, Inc.
